£2.3 million supported housing project in Wollaston given the go-ahead
The next phase of a has been given the green light with a development in Wollaston.
Dudley Council has been given the go ahead to build eight two bedroom apartments on disused land in Norfolk Road, Wollaston, to provide supported housing.
The council has appointed community regeneration specialists, Keepmoat, to develop the scheme on its behalf. Work is likely to start on site later this year and the scheme is expected to complete in the summer 2015.
Plans for a second scheme at another former council depot at The Walk in Sedgley will be determined later this month. If approved, this scheme will provide six two bedroom apartments and three two bedroom houses.
The council is investing £2million to develop both schemes, in addition to £385,000, which was awarded from the government’s Homes and Communities Agency last year.
