Dream Catcher Workshop 11 July for people with learning disabilities – Extraordinary Lives

Extraordinary Lives C.I.C (Community Interest Company) provides workshops for people with disabilities primarily those with learning disabilities. The aim of their workshops are to promote an overall sense of wellbeing.  Client who have already attended similar sessions have  reported a boost in confidence, a boost in self-worth and had an opportunity to meet new people, these are only a few of the numerous benefits provided. Best practice in the design of residential environments for people living with dementia and sight loss

The Thomas Pocklington Trust has published research that shows how innocative design of living spaces can improve the lives of people who are living with two common conditions – dementia and sight loss. Community visiting in care homes pilot – Key Findings (University of Essex)

A pilot community visitor (CV) scheme in three Essex care homes has shown potential to support community engagement in care homes and improve residents’ quality of life.
