Rethink Mental Illness launches out of hour support and advice line

As part of Dudley’s vision for independence,  and choice Rethink Mental Illness is providing an out of hour support and advice line for the residents of Dudley that are over 16 years and registered with a Dudley GP. If you are experiencing levels of stress or anxiety the help line can provide a listening ear.  For those who may find themselves isolated, or need help accessing to alternative resources more appropriate to their needs we can also provide information.  The lines are open weekdays 6.00pm to 1.00am and weekends 2.00pm to 1.00am. Message from Housing Services, Dudley Council: We would ask that you contact the service using 01384 815035 or 0800 555 2345 if you know that anyone is sleeping rough in any weather. We can then look at all options and will endeavour to accommodate. Monitoring the use of the Mental Capacity Act Deprivation of Liberty safeguards in 2013/14

  This CQC report looks at the use of the Deprivation of Liberty (DoL) safeguards which were introduced in 2009. The safeguards are used to protect the rights of people who lack the ability to make certain decisions for themselves and make sure that their freedom is not inappropriately restricted.
