This course (offered by the Workers Educational Association) is designed to enable people with or without hearing problems to communicate with each other in society. Saturday Dementia Clun – Brett Young Centre, Halesowen from Creative Support

Creative Support is a not-for-profit provider of personalised services – supporting people to enjoy their lives and reach their full potential! Our Saturday Dementia Club at the Brett Young Centre in Halesowen gives people living with Dementia the opportunity to take part in engaging and meaningful activities including reminiscence activities, arts and crafts, music, flower arranging, cooking and more! All of the sessions are delivered by fully trained staff and dedicated volunteers and aim to support individuals with maintaining daily living skills. For the small charge of £8, individuals can get involved in activities of their choice and have lunch and refreshments throughout the day. If you require transport to and from the Saturday Dementia Club, please contact us, as we can help to arrange this for you. The Employer Toolkit is a new interactive resource, offering guidance for managers of older workers.  The information available details how employers can better manage their workforce, and by doing so, how they can capitalise on the UK’s changing demographics. The Toolkit includes information relating to the 3 ‘R’s highlighted by the Government’s former Business Champion for Older Workers, Dr Ros Altmann CBE.
