Cycling Time Trials Road Closures Dudley Borough will be welcoming the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games men’s and women’s cycling time trials on Thursday 4 August. A map of the circular course is available at: www.dudley.gov.uk/commonwealthgames In preparation for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games this summer, the Get Set for the Games partnership is working together to support residents in planning ahead. This support will help minimise the impact of the Games on everyday users of the transport network to ensure residents can still get about, and borough operations can continue to meet local needs. Many roads in the north and the centre of the borough will be closed inside and around the time trial route between the hours of 5am and 6pm (roads will re-open at 6pm) on the day of the time trials. A full list of road closures, roads with changed traffic conditions, and crossing points is available on our www.dudley.gov.uk/cgtraffic/ The impact of this disruption may be significant: If you live on the route There will be NO PARKING from: 6:00pm Wednesday 3 August to 6:00pm Thursday 4 August. ANY VEHICLES THAT REMAIN ON THE ROUTE AFTER THE ‘NO PARKING’ TIME WILL BE TOWED. ROAD CLOSURES will be in place from: 5:00am to 6:00pm on Thursday 4 August. If you regularly park on these roads, you will need to find alternative parking. If your vehicle is towed, please contact:01565 872707 to find where your car has been towed to. If you live inside the route A number of vehicle crossing points will be available around the course, that will enable you to enter/leave the area within the course. The majority of these will be in operation between 5AM to 9.15AM, and 3.30PM to 6PM on the day of the race.
