A new report by ILC-UK estimates that the value of volunteering by people over 50 is estimated by the Royal Voluntary Service to grow from £10bn to £15bn by 2020 but that despite the ageing population, opportunities for older people to work longer could present a challenge to charities that rely on volunteers.
