Autism Help Sheet from Options Group

Posted by on May 23, 2016 in Information & Advice | 0 comments

The Options Clinical Team has created a series of help sheets offering advice and guidance for parents and carers who look after children, young people and adults with autism.

This month’s help sheet is all about Understanding Emotions. For people with autism and/or a learning disabilities the brain develops differently, leading to a difference in behaviour which can be difficult for themselves and others to manage.  In this issue we offer information for parents and carers to help understand how the brain operates, and how we can use this knowledge to help people with developmental difficulties to acquire more adaptive ways of thinking.
