To mark Carers Rights Day, Dudley Council’s Adult Services and Healthwatch Dudley are organising a Making it Real for Carers event.

The aim of the day is to inform carers of the actions we are taking to implement our Making it Real action plan for adult social services. We plan a number of very short informal presentations to highlight some new services and remind carers of existing services will are being further developed.

Following this there will be a buffet lunch, a chance to talk to the presenters and others – as well as a number of ways of giving us your comments and suggestions.

The event is for all carers of adults and for young people approaching the transition to adult services in Dudley. Places must be booked for room capacity and catering reasons. Priority will be given to carers and we will maintain a waiting list for staff and supporters.

We are currently confirming presenters and will send out a detailed programme as soon as we can. In the meantime if you would like to book a place (s) please email carers.network@dudley.gov.uk or ring us on 01384 818723. Please let us know if you have any dietary or other requirements.
