Voluntary Organisation Disability Group launch report The social care sector will need to fill around 400,000 jobs by 2035. In the light of this reality, how can providers create a competitive edge in local labour markets and transform the sector into a career of choice? BASW marks Holocaust Memorial Day at event 27 Jan to talk about refugees (Birmingham)

The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) will be marking Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) with a day of presentations and discussions on the human rights of refugees, how the profession undertakes the specialist nature of this work. Older people with social care needs and multiple long-term conditions – NICE guidelines

A new NICE guideline, launched last month, focuses on older people with multiple long-term conditions. Recommendations include having a single named care coordinator and better integrated health and care services.
