Dudley highlighted as business support for Disability Confident continues to grow – DWP

Dudley Council has been highlighted as part of the Disability Confident Campaign launched last year by the Department of Work and Pensions.

Through the People’s Parliament and Changing Our Lives, Dudley is committed to employing more people with a disability. Sue Baker, who has a learning disability has been employed by Dudley Council for over 12 months.

The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and its business partners launched the second phase of the Disability Confident campaign in November 2013 with a series of regional events across the country. The campaign is aimed to increase confidence amongst employers to recruit and retain more disabled people of working age.
