Finding Joy – Vamos Theatre (for people with dementia and their carers)
People with dementia and their carers are invited to a production of Finding Joy by professional mask and mime theatre company Vamos at the Cornbow Hall, Halesowen on Wednesday 26 February. Doors open at 7.00, the play starts at 8.00pm.
The story looks back at Joy’s life and how she, and her daughter and grandson are coping with her memory loss. For more about this funny and moving performance see www.vamostheatre.co.uk/ This performance is part of our work to build a Dementia Friendly Halesowen. There
will be a chance to find out more about this on the night. It is funded by Dudley Carers Network working with the Dementia Friendly Halesowen Project and the tickets are free.
Donations will be welcome on the night and will be divided between the 3 Dementia Gateways specifically to provide for events for people
with dementia and their carers. Tickets are by invitation only. If you are a carer of someone with dementia and would like to attend, please email me and I will send you an invitation to book through the Eventbrite system. This seems a bit long-winded but we have a 300 seater Hall to fill and this is the best way to manage it. Groups supporting people with dementia and their carers may block book tickets on behalf of members- especially those without internet access.
