Getting New Year’s Resolutions into Action – Age Uk Dudley
Everybody has enjoyed the Christmas and New Year festivities but now the waistbands are feeling tighter.
With New Year’s resolutions in mind, Age UK Dudley’s LEAP Over 50 project has plenty of choice of Gentle Exercise, Tai Chi, Dancing or Zumba sessions across Dudley Borough. If not exercise, have you promised yourself that you’ll learn new skills like computer skills, digital photography, guitar lessons or woodwork? Perhaps you would like to socialise at a luncheon club or other local meeting. We have Activity Sheets by Postcode, which is a directory of what is available throughout Dudley Borough. This information can be downloaded from our website: www.ageukdudley.org.uk , then click ‘Staying Active’ from the home page and then ‘Activities by Postcode’.
Maybe outdoor activities appeals to you. If so, we have our new programmes available for Healthy Footsteps for 50 Plus and Get Cycling for 50 Plus. Our walks are generally between 2 miles and 4 miles this time of the year and our bicycle rides from 4 miles to 13 miles.
Our walks take place on Monday afternoons, alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays and also two Saturdays per month, generally within Dudley Borough or just outside and in most cases the start venues can be reached by bus.
Our bicycle rides take place on Tuesday mornings with a Saturday morning ride once per month. We also have one Breeze (ladies only ride) in February and there will also be a men’s only ride on the same day.
