Makaton beginners’ 3 week course starts 25 Feb, Lye

Makaton is a language programme using signs and symbols to help people to communicate. It is designed to support spoken language and the signs and symbols are used with speech, in spoken word order.

With Makaton, children and adults can communicate straight away using signs and symbols. Many people then drop the signs or symbols naturally at their own pace, as they develop speech.

This is a three week course and you will cover stages 1-4 plus some additional vocabulary.

Each participant will receive two reference books to keep and a certificate.

It will be held at:

• The Kids Orchard Centre, Lye-By-Pass, Lye, DY9 8HA
• On Wednesday February 25^th, March 4^th and 11^th 2015
• At 9.45am – 2.00pm
• Cost is £100 per person, refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch.
