People with a learning disability excluded from the political process – Mencap report

Learning Disability charity Mencap has recently published a survey that reveals that people with a learning disability have met with barriers when trying to vote in elections.

Seventy per cent of people with a learning disability say they wish to vote in the future even though the current system is a barrier to them doing so.
