Skills for Care have published a report into what local authorities across England are doing to support people who employ personal assistants (PAs). ‘Better understanding of levels of support for individual employers and their personal assistants’ presents the findings of research carried out by the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, Learn to Care and Skills for Care.

The research, now in its second year, highlights the need for a long-term commitment; both to enable individual employers to be good employers, and to support the 243,000 personal assistants through guidance and peer support.
