With increasing numbers of people living over the age of 65 and many relying on care home support, it’s really important to make sure care is focussed on individual need and tackles loneliness, depression and low self-esteem. That’s why a new video is now available which supports care home staff with practising the NICE quality standard on the mental wellbeing of older people in care homes. Commissioned by NICE collaborating Centre for Social Care with input from members of TLAP’s National Coproduction Advisory Group (NCAG) it features a round-table event where discussion centred on the ‘quality statements.
