Wheelchair based exercise at Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge

Dudley Council is offering a brand new exercise session for wheelchair users. Wheelchair users can face particular challenges when it comes to fitness and exercise so our sessions are here to combat this! Regular exercise is good for physical and mental wellbeing and our sessions can also provide an opportunity to meet new people and gain support. Whatever your preferences and level of physical ability, there will be options that are right for you.

The council are looking to run a 30minute activity session that will include an aerobic workout and also muscle-strengthening exercise through a sport based programme e.g wheelchair fencing, nordic, athletics, boccia, tennis and many more followed by an optional drink and chat.

If you, a person you care for or a group you are involved with would like to be a part of this  please contact Megan Smith on 01384 813 963 or email megan.smith@dudley.gov.uk
