Training and Workshop Opportunities

Did any of you see the Horizon programme on BBC: ‘Jimmy Carr and the Science of Laughter’?  It was both interesting and amusing with three professors that specialise within the field of Laughter.  I have met Professor Sophie Scott and she has also spoken on the subject on TedEx talks.  If you haven’t seen the Horizon programme, it is available for another 20 days or so from when it was first screened on 11 September 2016 and can be accessed on iPlayer via this link:  http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b07vxkbv/horizon-20152016-15-jimmy-carr-and-the-science-of-laughter I deliver monthly Laughter Yoga sessions in Wordsley (Stourbridge) and Malvern and also deliver to groups, organisations, events, etc.  It is available for any age group, whatever their ability and mobility.  There are a few contra-indications in the same way as there would be for participating in any physical activity.  I have attached my leaflet and also the ‘Laughter Yoga Information & Liability Release’ form that identifies medical conditions where it would not be advised. So, if you or the people you work or play with would like to experience Laughter Yoga, it has sometimes been described as ‘internal jogging’ as it exercises areas often not associated with exercises, such as the Larynx …. also the Diaphragm for instance through the constant deep breathing exercises, not only as a breathing exercise but also whilst laughing.  The end result is that people feel a sense of euphoria and relaxation from bringing so much fresh oxygen into their body and brain …. not to mention the feel good factor with the release of Endorphins.  Two Training Opportunities:  On the weekend of 19 and 20 November 2016 I shall be delivering a 2-day Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training at Wordsley Community Centre, The Green, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5BN from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm on both days.  The cost will be £175.00 per person.  To gain the ‘Early Bird’ price it will be £150.00 if booked and paid for by Friday, 11 November 2016.  This training will explore the concept, philosophy and benefits of Laughter Yoga more deeply and would be ideal for people wanting to include it as part of their personal development and it will also qualify them to lead Laughter Yoga sessions.  At the end of the training there will be an assessment module after which they will receive their diploma.  The information leaflet for this training is attached.  Completion of a booking form for this training is essential.  If a 2-day training is more than you would like to commit to, I am in the process or arranging a 1-day Laughter Yoga: Basic Skills Learning Workshop.  This will provide more in-depth information and experience than a 1-hour or 1.5 hour Laughter Yoga session but will not result in a qualification to lead...
