A new guide to support and services on offer across Dudley borough for people with dementia, their families and carers has been produced. The guide is a one stop shop of information and services all in one place. It has been produced by Dudley Council, Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group, The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and The Alzheimers Society working together.  The guide will prove useful to people who have a diagnosis of dementia, family members and carers. Dudley Falls Prevention

Please see below Link & information. A new integrated falls one stop shop has launched. Dudley Falls Prevention is a service made up of Dudley Council’s adult social care team, Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group and The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust all working together. It is for any adult aged 18 plus who is worried about falling. Whether they are concerned about their balance and stability and want to avoid falling, or have already taken a fall and want to regain their independence quickly. People can refer themselves, or can be referred by their GP, nurse or the hospital. Each person will receive a tailored programme of support to meet their needs from a multi-disciplinary team of experts and clinicians. Are you receiving the correct amount of housing benefit?

Dudley Council is continuing to roll out its campaign to encourage residents who receive housing benefit to keep the council up to date with changes that may affect their benefit and avoid penalties for incorrect claims. The campaign, funded by the Department for Work & Pensions, runs until the end of March and highlights the types of changes to circumstances that can influence the amount of housing benefit or council tax reduction a person receives.
