Mindful Gifts CIC – What we’ve been up to!!

Just to give you a quick update on what Mindful Gifts CIC have been up to. We have had the pleasure in supporting the ‘The New Art Gallery in Walsall’ to become Dementia Friendly by transforming their Family Gallery into a place where people can touch, smell, see and listen to many objects from the past! The “Scenes of Walsall” exhibition opened on 18 February and will run until July 2017. Mindful Gifts CIC have brought the wonderful paintings to life with a 1960s living room and other memorabilia that will help to bring back memories and is well worth a visit. Our shop in Darlaston is also ‘dementia friendly’ providing an outlet where people can be transported into the past. The shop contains a traditional toy shop, grocery stores, gift shop, traditional sweets, flea market, living room and scullery. As well as a unique shopping experience, customers can enjoy a cup of tea and cake, all served out of the best china! Our shop is attracting care and residential homes, dementia groups and hospitals. Additionally, families bring their loved ones for some quality time together in a safe environment with people on hand who understand their needs.  We have attached our ‘Mindful Gifts CIC Story’ that outlines why were set up, our journey and the good that we do. We also have some special offers available at the moment that I have also attached. For more information see our website www.mindfulgifts.co.uk and Facebook page.
