Council offers grants to support voluntary groups
Funding has been made available to voluntary groups across the Dudley borough which provide support and social activities for adults in the community.
Groups can now apply for grants to support their work which is available through the council’s Small Grants Scheme.
The Dudley Council scheme is aimed at groups that provide support and social activities and look to extend their services to include people with disabilities and older people.
This year the council is particularly keen to hear how such groups can help pass on information and refer people to a range of organisations that can support their members to live independently and improve their overall wellbeing.
The financial support will be made available to the groups in areas ranging from running costs, purchasing equipment and training expenses. Last year 81 organisations benefited from the small grants scheme. These grants ranged from just over £100 up to £1,000 and provided funding to support venue hire, equipment, running and travel costs.
Deadline: 27 March 2015
