Developing relationships and sharing information survey – calling all care organisations & vol groups
Are you a care organisation, self help group, voluntary organisation or charity interested in improving social care? -CQC want to hear from you.
(Deadline for completion 31 October 2015)
Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and social care in England and does this by monitoring, inspecting and regulating services to make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and to encourage services to improve.
Everyone in England at some point uses the many different types of health and social care services. Many are at their most vulnerable when they do so. Recognising all services are important, CQC and its partners need to make sure resources are well used and targeted where they can be most effective. For these reasons CQCs work is prioritised, as it relates to:
1. Those at risk of poor care because of their vulnerable circumstances, such as people with learning disabilities or dementia, or those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
2. People who are likelier to experience poorer health outcomes, such as homeless people, travelling communities, people who misuse alcohol and substances, sex workers, refugees, and asylum seekers.
3. Those with ‘protected characteristics’ under equalities legislation, such as minority ethnic groups, people whose first language is not English, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
4. Groups of individuals who may or are encouraged to use CQC information to make important decisions about services, such as people’s family, friends, advocates and support workers.
To assist CQC in their work across the West Midlands, East Midlands and East of England regions, your help is needed. CQC in partnership with RAWM (Regional Action West Midlands)would like to invite you to start a conversation by clicking here and completing this survey. Thank You Sharon
