Save the date 8 October 2015, 9am – 3.45pm, Himley Hall

This year ‘ Get Connected’ is hosting a prevention summit, for anyone involved with supporting or enabling older or vulnerable people living across Dudley borough.
The summit offers an opportunity to reinforce the work being done across Dudley borough to enable people to stay as independent as possible.
As a result of our summit we hope to see:
• Increased involvement from wide range of prevention agencies
• Increased profile for our prevention services
• New partnerships that push boundaries and strengthen the support that we can offer to older people

The summit will be showcasing a range of services which are on offer to support the health and wellbeing of older or vulnerable residents. The focus will be upon prevention and early intervention to keep people independent and well in their own homes – for as long as possible.

‘Get connected’, following the introduction of the Care Act 2014, is about connecting individuals and communities and getting professionals, suppliers, agencies, anyone working with older or vulnerable people, together.
Our focus will be: Information sharing – Collaboration – Networking
On the day there will be opening keynotes from Tony Oakman, Strategic Director – People, and Paul Maubach, Chief Officer – Dudley CCG, presentations and workshops from a range of providers. As well
as a marketplace where you can find out more about what is on offer for older and vulnerable people
across the borough, including what’s new. The opportunity to network is also a useful element to the day.
