More than £40,000 is up for grabs by local organisations. Dudley Council’s Small Bids Scheme helps fund activities for children with disabilities and their families.

The scheme is open to any local organisation, including schools and groups, who provide out of school activities for children with special educational needs and disabilities.

Grants of up to £499 are available and can be used to cover a range of activities such as the cost of group transport for a trip, a fun holiday activity or venue hire.

The small bids grants go some way in supporting activities to give children with disabilities and their families, fun and life-enhancing opportunities. They also provide a break for both parents and the child.

We have a wide range of activities and groups on offer throughout the borough, from mainstream to specialist activities through this scheme we want to increase the number of opportunities.

We are urging local groups and organisations to either get in touch to find out more or submit an application. In some cases, to be eligible, parents and/or the applying organisation must have contributed towards the cost of the activity.

Grants are awarded on a monthly basis, the deadline for the next round of bidding 28 June (2pm).  For more information go to  www.dudley.gov.uk/smallbidsprogramme
