Now we are getting into the swing of 2017, I have some forthcoming opportunities to tell you about for March.
There will be a 2-day Certified Laughter Yoga Leader training at Wordsley Community Centre, The Green, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5BN over the weekend of 4 and 5 March 2017 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. Be warned, it does carry a health warning as laughter is very contagious! Allow yourself to let go of inhibitions and act with childlike playfulness that will leave you feeling uplifted and relaxed. Learn about when and how the Laughter Yoga movement started, about the benefits of a daily practice, the evidence-based research and become a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader following the completion of an assessment. You may want to do this training simply for your own personal development but you may also wish to share it by leading your own laughter club for friends, family or the wider community. See the information leaflet attached and if you would like to attend, please complete the attached booking form and return it to me.
2017 is a Comic Relief year and many of my Laughter Yoga colleagues around the UK will be delivering sessions in the lead up to and on Red Nose Day to raise funds for Comic relief. I shall be leading two lunchtime sessions at Dudley Leisure Centre on Red Nose Day – Friday, 24 March 2017 – at Dudley Leisure Centre, Wellington Road, Dudley, DY1 1UH from 12.00 noon to 12.45 pm and 1.00 pm to 1.45 pm. Do come along to enjoy the combination of laughter exercises and deep breathing that is Laughter Yoga and donate generously to Comic Relief. Bring your friends along too.
If this is too long to wait then come along to the 1-hour Laughter Yoga sessions at:
Wordsley Community Centre, The Green, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5BN on Monday, 13 February 2017 from 7.00 pm for a 1-hour session.
Mata Da Mandir Centre, 57 – 59 King Street, Dudley, DY2 8PX on Thursday, 16 February 2017 (date to be confirmed) from 11.00 am to 12.00 noon.
The benefits of Laughter Yoga really become noticeable when done as a daily practice and if you look at You Tube Daily Laughers (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUJYPFuXJUpTe55Yvq4wxug) you will have the opportunity to experience it and join in with Dave Berman’s laughter videos.
I’ll leave you with this quotation: ‘Laughter oxygenates the soul’.
