New employment trial in Dudley

Residents with low level mental illnesses or long-term physical health conditions in Dudley are being urged to sign-up to take part in a new pilot that aims to support people to get back into work.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust has launched the Thrive into Work programme, testing a new employment support service that aims to help people find, and more importantly, stay in work.

Piloting the new service will see participants randomly organised into one of two trial groups – one will receive one to one individual placement and support and the other will receive standard information and signposting that is currently in place.

On 29 June, the team is taking part in the national Employability Day 2018 and will be having a pop-up shop in Churchill Shopping Centre from 11am until 2pm. Employment advisors will be on hand to speak to people and sign people up to pilot the new service.

Many thanks
